Book report

The stolen letter
I recently read the stolen letter by Edgar Allan Poe, a book about a letter that was stolen from the royal apartment , it cause a big problem but at last an intelligent man Auguste Dupin rescued it and received a big reward. It is an interesting and fascinating story that describes a mysterious problem because anybody knows where the letter was.

In Paris, just after dark one evening in the autumn, two friends were in the August Dupin’s library when suddenly arrived Monsieur G. the head of the Paris police to asks them for help and advices because he didn’t know what he have to do to find the stolen letter although he thought that it was in the Minister’s apartment . The central theme of the book, a mysterious problem that Monsieur G. must resolve, is how a strange man from the Royal apartment resolved and save the letter only using his intelligent without the help of others.

The main characters in this book are C. Auguste Dupin, Monsieur G, and the minister D the thief of the letter. Each one had different points of view about the place where they thought the letter was. My favorite character was Dupin because he thought in the logical way and went to search at the minister’s house only based in the description that Monsieur G told him to save it.
I liked the story. The author involved me with the suspense and I was waiting to know what could happen.
I would recommend the book to anyone who likes the mysterious. I think most of people like to read this kind of story because catch the attention and does that we want to know more and want to know what follow.
