Last entry...

Hi!!! a todos.Esta es la ultima entrada que hacemos para el blog, pues el semestre esta por terminar, quizás sea también la ultima actividad que haremos con el teacher Cabrales, pues no se si no vuelva a dar clases el siguiente año.
Mi opinión sobre esta actividad de escribir en ingles en el blog ,me gusto mucho por que me ayudo a desarrollar mi habilidad de redacción y también a aprender nuevo vocabulario ya que a veces no sabia como escribir algunas palabras, de vez en cuando hicimos desidia y dejamos el blog olvidado por una semana pero pues era por que en ocasiones teníamos mucha tarea, con esto no quiere decir que la materia de ingles haya sido menos importante pero pues era preferible dejarlo para el final por que pues después de todo el estrés ,esta actividad por lo menos a mi me relajaba.

Esta actividad de escribir fue muy practica y para nada aburrida, ademas en cierta parte nos obligamos a nosotros mismos a hacer algo que será útil para nuestro desarrollo como alumnos de la carrera de ingles, así que creo que esta idea del blog de parte del teacher Cabrales fue cool!! , y pues me da gusto haberlo tenido como maestro, pues es una persona con mucha experiencia y conocimiento, en realidad admiro la habilidad que tiene para con el ingles, y no es por halagarlo pero en realidad hay que reconocer que es una persona capaz y por la manera como es, nos muestra que si queremos hacer algo podemos solo es cuestión de empeño.

Bueno pues sin desviarme del tema que es mi punto de vista acerca del blog ,como mencionaba me pareció muy bueno y estaría muy bien que siguiéramos escribiendo en el, para compartirlo entre nosotros aunque ya no sea requisito para la materia. Bueno pues es todo por el momento y aprovecho para desearles unas muy bonitas vacaciones y Feliz Navidad por anticipado por que ya no nos veremos,,BYE!!!...

Christmas!!! is coming soon

Christmas for Mexicans, in traditional homes and rural areas, is a religious holiday.

It is a celebration of the Nativity. This means the birthday of Our Lord Jesus. In order to prepare for the day of symbolic commemoration, we have the "Posadas". These celebrations are a "Novena" or nine days before the 24 which is the "Noche Buena" or "Holy Night".

These Posadas are an enactment of looking for lodging of St. Joseph and Virgin Mary, called The Pilgrims going to Bethlehem for the Census according to the Scriptures. In Spanish we called them: "Los Peregrinos, San José y la Virgen María". Each family in a neighborhood, will schedule a night for the Posada to be held at their home, starting on the 16th of December and finishing on the 24th on Noche Buena.

Every home will have a Nativity scene. The hosts of the home are the innkeepers, and the neighborhood children and adults are Los Peregrinos, who have to request lodging through singing a simple chant. All carry small lit candles in their hands and four teenagers of about the same height are chosen to carry Los Peregrinos, which are two small statues of St. Joseph leading a donkey, which Virgen Mary is riding sidesaddle. The head of the procession will have a candle inside of a paper lamp shade that looks like an accordion but open at the top and it is called a "Farolito" or little lantern.

The Peregrinos will ask for lodging in three different houses but only the third one will allow them in. That will be the house that is supposed to have the Posada for that evening.
Lately, these traditions have been modified. For example, the Posadas are now nine parties that are celebrated in differentes friends homes before Christmas.

Christmas is now celebrated the American style, with Santa Claus, the meals and presentes, mostly among the affluent people.

"The stolen letter"

I recently read the stolen letter by Edgar Allan Poe, a book about a stolen letter which caused a big problem but finally an intelligent man Auguste Dupin rescued it and received a big reward for his courage. It is an interesting and fascinating story that describes mysterious problem because nobady knew where the letter was.

In Paris, just after dark one evening in the autumn, two friends were in Auguste's library when suddenly Monsieur G. (the head of Paris police department) arrived asks them for help and advice because he didn't know what he had to do to find the stolen letter.

he thought it was inthe Minister's apartment.

The central theme of the book, a mysterious problem that Monsieur G. must resolve, is how a strange man resolved and saved the letter only using his intelligence without the help of others.

The main characters are C. August Dupin, Monsieur G, and the Minister who stole the letter.

Each one had differnt points of view about the place where they thought the letter was.

My favorite character was Dupin because he thought in a logical way and went to search the letter at the Minister's house only based in the description that Monsieur G told him.

I like the story. The author involved me with the suspense and I was waiting to know what would happen.

I would recommend the book to anyone who likes the mystery.I think most of people like to read this kind of stories because they catch the readers' attention and causes that we want to know more and want to know what comes next.

The Wizard of Oz...

Hey! This weekend was too long, I was very busy doing my homework, you know it was a lot ,besides it ,I read a book called the Wizard of Oz .The history is about a little girl Dorothy, who lives in Kansas; One day a cyclone blew her house where she lives with her uncle Henry, her aunt Em and her dog Toto.
That day Dorothy went to a strange place where four witches and short men in blue hats live, Dorothy started to cry because she wanted to come back with her family but she didn’t know the way. So the witch that received her told Dorothy that she can go with the wizard of the Emerald city to ask him for help.
In the road to Emerald city Dorothy and her dog found some friends: the scarecrow, the tin man and the lion.
The scarecrow wanted to have brain, the tin man wanted to have a heart, and the lion wanted to be brave, so they went to Dorothy to visit the wizard’s house.
The wizard asked them for something, he wanted that they killed the bad witch of the West, then they did, but for their surprise for them was that the Wizard f Oz was a fake and he couldn’t give they any help. All of Dorothy’s friends were very angry when they discovered the lie of the “wizard” and forced to the old man to help them.
At last all the wishes that every one has come true and they were happy and Dorothy and her dog could come back with their family to Kansas.

In my opinion the book is so good, the story has a kind of innocence and shows us that if we want to do anything we can do it, also in it we can see the important that is the friendship and teaches us several basic values and deals like things are easier if we try to get they asking for help.

You can enjoy the reading because all the characters are nice and innocents and they can teach you, one interesting thing for you life...

You like someone, but don't know what's in her or his mind? most of the time we don't take the risk and prefer to stay quiet rather than say our felings to our love.

... Mark was in love with Jenny the first day he saw her. They work together in the same team and have been very good friends. They usually talk about work and some of the personal life, Mark knows she is single, and wants to ask her out. But... is afraid of loosing a friend and a great colleague... it's been almost eight months but still he is not sure what is in her mind...

Today Jenny has returned from two weeks vacation, she tells Mark about her boyfriend she made during the vacation... There is a sad smile on Mark's face... he is not sure how to react... Seeing Mark's face Jenny speaks in her mind - "Mark I am sorry... but I waited for you for eight months..."

Are you like Mark or Jenny, who wants to break-ice but don't know how to do so? Most of the time we are not able to break the ice because we are not sure what is in other persons' mind and are afraid of spoiling the friendship and making fool of ourselves.

Some times we fall in love with the wrong people ,but what does it matter?if this make you feel a little bit of hapiness and "Happiness is finding love through giving love rather than through receiving it."don't you think so? well see ya later.

I received an Email from a friend this week ,I felt worry and I want to share this pics I hope ‘u won’t be bothered by the pictures I felt homesick for those kids but the moral is to appreciate and be satisfied with what we have we are luckier and better than millions of poor people in this world those people don’t seek for prosperity and luxury, they just need the main sources of living food, shelter and clothes.
We should be thankful for what we have and stop complaining about buying more expensive stuff!!!

Confident vs conceited people, What kind of this are 'u? I hate the 2nd one.

Confidence is defined as a feeling or consciousness of one’s powers or of reliance in one’s circumstances. Being confident, sounds so easy but being able to walk into a room and feel completely comfortable with yourself inside and out is not an easy task for many of us.
A conceited person will walk into that same room and feel insecure about herself or himself but instead of showing it will tell everyone how great they are.

Conceit is shown by people who not only are not critical towards themselves, but also underestimate their own self worth. They can only see the good side of themselves, they have no bad side. With a conceited person everything is easy to do and they never acknowledge a mistake was made on their part. They always think they have the answers and theirs is the best answer. Conceited people have an excessively high opinion of their abilities, appearance, and material things. These people will like to show off quite a lot and will tell you how what you have is not as good as what they have. They constantly boast about how “confident” they are and how they always speak their mind.

I have met a man before who boasted about how no one will talk to him this way or do treat him any kind of way, he always tends to be very rude and I can just see the insecurity in he when he’s afraid ‘cause he never shows us the true side of him. It always makes me think of the saying “his bark is worse than his bite”.

When a person is confident, they never have to tell you they are. They will just exude confidence. They are not afraid to admit making mistakes and have a plan on how to not make that mistake again. Confidence isn’t about proving to anyone else just how great you are, it’s a feeling you have inside that just shows to everyone around. I am always in awe of truly confident people. It is so incredible the way every action they make is just another fact showing their confidence.

A confident person knows she can do anything she sets her mind to. A conceited person wants everyone else to know she can do anything and everything.

How do you feel around confident people vs. conceited people? Would you be able recognize if you were conceited, I am thinking yes, but what do you think? Maybe some conceited people don’t know they are conceited and they think that is the way to “prove” their confidence, but sometimes people can’t understand how terrible is hear all the time talking about themselves ,and how they can do feel bad to other people with their comments.

about PARIS...

This is about Paris, why I tell you this information? Because one day I would like to go there. I think is one of the most attractive places to visit, it’s one of my dreams, don’t you want to go there? I’m wrong? Well let to see some information about places that you can go maybe in 3 years more …

Well, first let make sure you have a list of the "obvious" places. Those would be, in addition to the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame, Sacre Coeur, the Arc de Triomphe, The Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, Centre Pompidou, Place des Vosges, Cluny Museum, Luxembourg Gardens, Place de la Bastille, Place de la Concorde, Montmartre, Moulin Rouge, the Sewers of Paris and the Catacombs, etc.Some lesser visited places are:

1-Musée des Plans-Relief

An overlooked museum that is housed over the Army Museum on the Esplanade des Invalides. For years this place was just a garret filled with models of the various fortifications and walled towns in France. Prior to 1950 the public was not admitted since some of information that could gleaned from the models was considered a state secret. The collection of models was started by Louis XIV. The oldest model, representing the town of Perpignan, dates back to 1866.

2-Arena Lutetia on thrue Monge

These are the remains of a Roman arena destroyed in the 3rd century. Completely forgotten during 1500 years they were rediscovered in 1869, when new streets were planned and diggings ordered. It was one of the largest amphitheatres of Gaul and could accomdate at least 15,000 spectators.

3-La Maison du Haut-Pignon

This is the oldest house in Paris. It was built in 1407 by the writer and alchemist Nicolas Flamel. Look at the façade and see the inscription: "Ora et labora" (pray and work), which was the motto of the alchemists.

4-Cimetiere de Picpus

This is the burial place of the Marquis de Lafayette which can be found at 35, rue de Picpus. The only way into the cemetary is through an unmarked door in a larger, perpetually-closed gateway. You have to ring the doorbell and turn to the right after you pass through the door and find the entry 'official' who takes your entry fee.

Those are so few places that you can visit ,without doubt they have a impressive design that you can admire and enjoy the tour.

Types of art...

Artists used many styles in their paintings and drawings.For me after read a little about styles of art I find more interesting the follows: Cubism, Realism, Postimpressionism,and Surrealism.

Cubism: Is modern art made up mostly of paintings. The paintings are not supposed to look real. The artist uses geometric shapes to show what he is trying to paint. Early cubists used mainly grays, browns, greens, and yellows. After 1914, Cubists started to use brighter colors. Cubism was the beginning of the Abstract and Non-objective art styles.Pablo picasso was one of the most famous painters of this kind of art.

Realism: Is a type of art that shows things exactly as they appear in life. It began in the 18th century, but the greatest Realist era was in the mid-19th century. Most Realists were from France, but there were some famous American painters who were Realists also.Leonardo da Vinci was a Painter of this styles of paintings.

Postimpressionism: It began in the 19th century. It was mainly still lifes and landscapes. The postimpressionists liked to use lots of colors and shadows.
Vincent Van Gogh painted sad paintings with poor people in them. His paintings were always very dark until he saw some colorful Japanese paintings.Then he started painting happier paintings. Most of his works was in this style.

Surrealism: This kind of paintings were generally based on dreams. Their paintings were filled with familiar objects which were painted to look strange or mysterious. They hoped their odd paintings would make people look at things in a different way and change the way they felt about things. They thought that their paintings might stir up feelings in the back of peoples minds. Salvador Dali was one of the painters that used this style.

I think all types of art are beatiful and important, but each one is defferent from others but all have something interesting behind them because refelcet the way that theirs printer are.

Advantages and disadvantages about watch TV.

You would be better off without TV
If you Could live without tv, you can:
1- use your time well doing stuffs like take a dance or music course.
2- learn a new language by yourself because nowadays you can study at home by reading books or practicing in the Internet.
3- read books befote g oto bed to increase your knowledge .
4- share more time with your family I guess you can tell to them all the experiences that happen you during the day.
5- You won’t have to pay the tv cable or sky to see more chanels.
6- Childs Could be more interesting in their homeworks.
7- Programs like some cartoons wouldn’t increase vilolence in your childs.

The worst about don’t watch TV

1- You don’t know about the news like the weather or trafic jam.
2- Families wouldn’t share good time watching their favorites programs.
3- When you have to travel by bus or airplane maybe you could get boring .
4- If you live alone you wouldn’t have something for spend your time.
5- For people that use well the tv for example to watch documentary or cultural programs ,they could be affect because they couldn’t see anymore about interesting information.

differences make you unique...

That I gonna write is based in a book's reading.It made me think in how people can be different from others ,in the way that we are or behave. We work with many people who are different from us and is necesary that we can to realize that differences are good besides these aren't too important to permit us to belong to a group because is good to apreciate that not all people have the same ideas neither are like us.

One of the most basics ways taht people differ from others are:values,temperament and individual diversity.

Values are important they are:the quality (positive or negative)that renders something desirable or valuable.Personal values are principles that define you as an individual. Personal values, such as honesty, reliability, and trust, determine how you will face the world and relate with people.

Temperament :is a configuration of observable personality traits, such as habits of communication, patterns of action, and sets of characteristic attitudes, values, and talents.

Is the innate aspect of an individual's personality, such as introversion or extroversion, and is the distinctive way you think and feel.Each temperament has its own unique qualities and shortcomings, strengths and challenges.We can be for example :

Optimists:people with this temperament must be free and not tied down.they are impulve,enjoy the immediate,and they like working with things.are people who loves people and parties and is a great storyteller. He is enthusiastic and expressive.

Idealists: Idealists are enthusiastic, they trust their intuition, yearn for romance, seek their true self, prize meaningful relationships, and dream of attaining wisdom. As a temperament, are passionately concerned with personal growth and development. Idealists strive to discover who they are and how they can become their best possible self -- always this quest for self-knowledge and self-improvement drives their imagination. And they want to help others make the journey. Idealists are naturally drawn to working with people, and whether in education or counseling, in social services or personnel work, in journalism or the ministry, they are gifted at helping others find their way in life, often inspiring them to grow as individuals and to fulfill their potentials.

At last that I comented about individual diversity refers individual diversity means reaching beyond stereotypical views of individuals and using the strengths and different perspectives that each person offers as a result of his or her culture, religion, ethnicity, gender, race, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, and age.

so what kind of person are you?always people are criticizing how other people are,and that you should do is don't worry if people dont agree in the way that you are only be yourself and behave well.

I love summer!

Hi! Everybody today is a cloudy day… perfect for staying at home and being on bed. But the truth is that we have to go to the school after many days of rest and celebrated the Independence Day.

Soon on October the time will change, it will’ be one hour less .I don’t like this kind of things because it provokes that you get confused and the first days is hard to wake up for the cold weather ‘cause next month will be Winter, and the forecast shows us that in those days will come a front cold, so you have to change your closet and change your T-shirts for sweaters.

Most of the people feel happy when the temperature is under 15 ° in this way they don’t sweat , but I would like that all the year was summer, in this way you can dress with light clothes and feel fresh. I would like to live in Acapulco because there the weather is hot almost all the year and I could go to swim to its beach.

Instead of I’d like to see snow but only for pleasure is the unique thing that make me staying for few days in a cold place …I don know for example in Canada! I guess that there the scenery when snow is beautiful, if I had money the first thing that I shall do is buy a ticket and go to Canada to do an angel on the snow. It’s a wish that I hope come true as pronto as possible of course when I can pay my own bills.

It was writing for me last Monday but I don’t have access to the internet, so it is my first free time to come to the CIBER..

A lesson in caring. In my opinion...

1-I think they were benefited In many ways; first because they, (the father more than her daughter), learned that help to other people is more than give food or materials things, understand the meaning of the solidarity value, the meaning of share feelings like love and happiness, and the satisfaction of give a good time to older people and make they happy for a minutes without expecting anything back of anybody.

2- The motivation for the father was the surprise that he had when his daughter told him about the help that she wanted give to the poor man, he was amazed for the way in that his little daughter was thinking ,how she can realized all that in that moment was happening ,about the necessity and poverty of the defenseless man.

3- As the article shows us the father for me is a hero... Why? Because besides make happy to his little kid, help to elderly people for they don't getting alone ,so if you have time and want to share a little bit of you with someone else that need help, keep company to them just for one day.

Who is Michael Jordan?

For me is widely considered as the greatest basketball player ever.

Michael Jeffrey Jordan has been voted as the ‘greatest player of all time.’ Michael Jordan was born on 17 February 1963 to James R. Jordan, Sr. and Deborah Jordan at Brooklyn, New York. When Michael Jordan was still a child, his family shifted to Wilmington in North Carolina.

Michael happens to be the fourth of five children and has got two elder brothers and one elder and one younger sister. Since Michael's father worked at an electric plant and his mother at a bank, his was not a rags-to-riches life story. The childhood of Michael Jordan was fairly comfortable and secure. He began his basketball career playing for Laney High School in Wilmington, North Carolina.

The basketball record of Michael Jordan is simply out and out amazing. After his junior year, he was chosen with the third overall pick in the 1984 NBA Draft by the Chicago Bulls. In the coming days, Michael Jordan went on to lead the Chicago Bulls to six NBA Championships in years 1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997 and 1998. Furthermore, he was also entitled NBA Finals MVP during all his championship winning years.

NBA was aghast at Michael Jordan’s pronouncing his retirement prior to the 1993-94 seasons. Jordan said it was the murder of his father previous year that led to this decision. But he returned to basketball once again in the 1994-95 NBA season and tried carrying the Bulls to another title. But despite his presence, the Bulls failed to get past the Orlando Magic in the conference semifinals and lost to them in six games. In 1984 as well as 1992, he was member of the gold medal-winning United States Olympic Basketball Teams.

Jordan retired in 1999, but made a comeback with the Washington Wizards in 2001.He started training, interacting with the media initially stating that he was only doing so in order to shed weight. During summer time, he gradually worked himself back into the basketball form by participating in many invitation-only camps of pickup games with other NBA players at a Chicago gym. As luck would have it, Michael Jordan proved unable to lead his Wizards into the postseason as a player. He retired for a third and final time after playing his final game on 16th April 2003.

It doesn’t matter the way that you want to dress while you feel comfortable everything is left over.
People don’t care take into account the opinion of others as long as you don’t look so sloppy; the idea is that you have to dress according with the place where you have to be.
You shouldn’t pretend look like your friends just to belong to a group, because everyone needs to have their own style.
Most of people (like me) used to have the same style all the year; I try to be casual and fresh, I consider that I’m still young so I don’t have to feel worry about what kind of clothes I have to use, I think so. See ya later, at skul.

Hi folks! Here I am to start writing again in the blog, it was the first week and I still haven’t got used to going to school, you know that the vacations was so long so if you didn’t work like me, it’ll be difficult some weeks more.
Well, in those years that we have shared the same classroom, maybe I never tell you many things about my life, so I’ll write some relevant things:
I born in Cd, Mante Tamps, it’s a small city there are much dust cloud,(je)the place really doesn’t like me, but near to there I and my parents live, and is where I have lots of friends, good friends.
My full name is Arlene Eloisa Fajardo Cruz but always people say me only Arlene, ‘cause I have a friend that used to say me “lochita” but it never didn’t like me, actually I’m 20 years old, but soon in October will be my Bd, I can’t believe the years are running fast and I won’t be a teenager anymore, and the truth is that I wish be in the childhood again.
I have 3 brothers all of them are married they are older than me, the first is Humberto, he lives here in Tampico , that is to say his family, cause he works in a ship .Right now he is in Baja California Sur ,and travels From Ensenada to Colima .The second one is Edgardo he lives in Nvo. Laredo he has a little girl, my niece, she is pretty and so intelligent she only is in her 3 years old, and already knows the numbers till 1hundred.The third one is Hilda she lives in Nvo. Laredo too and also has a kid Alexia my favorite niece; when I’m of vacations always go to visit her.
One of my favorite hobbies is chat, I could spend much time in my computer, sure on the internet you always can find interesting things to do, also I like go to the movie or play basketball, I used to go to the gym but I give up since I was of vacations, now I lost my good shape, I wish that eat greasy food doesn’t matter to have a good figure.
I don’t like the pets, love the Mexican food, swim,dance and meet new people, I’m quiet but when I’m in confidence I could have great moments with my friends, my favorite colors are blue and white, I don’t have a favorite singer, but I like Eminem because of the way in he sings is impressive, maybe not his pronunciation or diction, but the faster that he is…I admire him.

My future plans is going to USA and stay there as much as possible, I hope it comes true.
By the moment I wanna finish the semester and learn the sufficient.That's all i think.

amazing tomorrow will be thursday and the week is finishing i think that the days flies,and i have to do my hwk for my english course i always say i do it tomorrow,but guess what???it never happen so in the moment that i take the bus on saturday i start to do my hwk,,jojojo...

ooohh i have a terrible headache maybe 'cause i couldn't sleep well this days,,is difficult write for me in this moment i'm yawning i' m sleepy will be better that i go to bed tomorrow i have to go to the bank i hate the rows but i have to go , also i'll buy the toys that the teacher audrey asked i almost forget it.

ahaha i think i'm getting sick,i'm feeling so tired...well i see 'u later with other new thing.it is 12:50 am and my eyes are almost closes,,je,bye folks..i hope tomorrow 'll be a nice day..

finally I decided to stay here to finish this ,I had to do 8 entries so this is the last one at last!!! only I'll write a little piece because my stomach is hungry and I have to prepare my own food...I don't like so much cook but i'm alone so i don't think that my stomach wait until nigth to buy something...mmm i'm thinking what can I prepare???but my refrigerator is almost empty well until next thursday is the day for going of shopping...

I wish that the clock doesn’t run because I have to do many things, and I don’t know how to start, the good is that the classes are finishing but the teachers are asking many hwks for the next week, so I have to hurry up.
I feel good because we’ll have much time to rest, well as I was saying we’ll have almost 4 months of vacations but as far as I am I wouldn’t back to the school…I’m kidding I have to come back, and I’ll do the best to learn as much possible as I can.

Have you ever heard about dreams? People said that if you have a dream and the next day you tell it to someone, the dream couldn’t came true.
One day I had one but it was horrible…and I tell it to someone because I didn’t want that it get to come true…however it happened…maybe this is only superstitions…but I always ignored them…and now it changes my mind and I ‘m surprised because in a little moments but important my life changed,,,
I always ask my self if will be possible that here exist other life…or exist the heaven or the hell…who knows? But meantime we have to do good things, jeje don’t you think so??? Anybody knows that happen tomorrow and we never think in uses the time well, otherwise we always are complain about the things that happen around us. So take your chance and live the life happy…

Eiii everybody …this is a hot morning right? I have just arrived from the gym and I’m very tired…the firs days I felt all my body sore and I couldn't walk fast because the pain of my legs was strong. I started to go there almost one month ago, the first days I couldn’t get up early…now I feel more relax and with more energy, also the exercise help you to keep in shape, and in this days I can do more things during the day I get up at 7:00 am and i go to sleep at mid night or 2 or 3 am but I feel good, of course this you shouldn’t do every day but you will fall ill. Only that I do something fun because when I finish classes I feel hungry,,,and when I back to my home I usually eat as much possible as I can. Well it doesn’t matter for me because I didn’t go for look nice, but also for have a good condition because many days ago when I up the stairs I felt bad… The next time that I sign on I ‘ll continuous telling you something more…

How Not to Get Baby to Sleep

Every new parent knows how difficult it can be to get a fussy baby to sleep, but new research suggests that a parent's best efforts may only be exacerbating the problem and that inadequate sleep in childhood can have long-lasting health effects. "It is very hard to let your child cry it out when they are toddlers," says Dr. Elsie Taveras of Harvard Medical School, referring to parents' tendency to pick up their children or bring them into the family bed to help them sleep. "But if you approach it differently ,I am not even going to start my child making these sleep associations' — it's much easier to prevent future problems."
That point is central to a new study ,which examines the link between parents' bedtime behavior and sleep disturbances in children during infancy and early childhood.
Babies who grew accustomed to falling asleep with a parent in the room, being held until they fell asleep, or being taken into a parent's bed when they couldn't sleep were also more likely as older children to have trouble falling asleep and to sleep fewer hours during the night.
The benefits of adequate sleep in infancy and childhood extend far beyond any single night of rest. According to a burgeoning body of research, children who don't sleep enough may be at risk for health problems later in life. Two additional reports, also appearing in the current issue of Archives of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine, suggest that children's sleeplessness may be associated with an increased risk of being overweight and having emotional and behavioral difficulties in adolescence and adulthood.

In one study of 2,076 children, psychologist Alice Gregory at the University of London followed participants for 14 years, starting when the kids were between 4 and 16 years old. She found that those who slept "less than others" — roughly fewer than 10 hours a night — according to their parents, were more likely than their peers to self-report high levels of anxiety, depression and aggression later, between the ages of 18 and 32. The implication, Gregory suggests, is that children who don't sleep enough may struggle to perform during the day, resulting in lowered self-esteem, along with other emotional consequences.
These findings are the latest in a growing field of study dedicated to understanding how sleep affects health, particularly in childhood.
To that end, Taveras offers a few simple steps for parents: "Go to sleep at the same time every night. Remove things that will create a lot of stimulation before sleep — don't put a TV in the child's room. These are proven sleep hygiene techniques that will hopefully translate to more hours of sleep."

Changing of subject, this morning I was reading my e-mails because I couldn’t read those before because the majority of them are only invitations for being part of pages like hi5 or something like that, that I have been registered but after I forget my password so I decided ignore them, well the point is that I read an e- mail about a young man that is driving a taxi in the downtown of Tampico and it said that this man still you or take you to an alone place to still your money or belongings, maybe this e-mail is of the month before, but I’m thinking why don’t people change of heart? Why people instead of work (like the man that I mention) prefer to still to people that every day work for long hours? …Why people in anywhere can’t live in a peacefully place?, the reason of this reflex ion is because of the Miss Betty’s hwk …nobody take the chance to stop and think that we have to be better people and change our attitude…for example most of us throw the garbage in anywhere, on the street, or wherever we want, we are wrong about this attitude but the world couldn’t change if we don’t start with ourselves. It sound strange but the true is that all that I’m saying …we do every day, I know that I can’t change this situations with only words but is impossible not to think in the responsibilities that we have…mmm is time to go the bed,,,I’m dead on your feet. it was so funny

Hi!!!, everybody I had much time without sign on this space, I think that won’t be necessary write anymore, but yesterday the teacher told us that we have to do sac hours if we don’t have sufficient entries, so I have to do 8th entries less to keep me up to date with this work.
The last entry that I did was about a history, it was good it liked me, but now I’ll tell you about my vacations it was pretty good I came to the beach with my family it was fun but the place was so crowded, however the moments that we had were good I felt happy because I saw to my sister and I had much time without see her because she lives in other city, also I had great days because I could take a long rest in my house.
Only that after some days I want to back to the school because most of the time I didn’t do anything, so I start to feel bored and I missed my daily routine here, I say here because maybe some of your don’t know that I ‘am from Mante city, right? Also I want to come back because there is very hot.
One day I traveled to Victoria City and guess what? I had the look of went outside of the truck because we didn’t fit into it, at the beginning I was so angry but after I was happy because I could see the views along the highway, although my skin changed of color because of the sunburn n. (Je) I looked so strange…well that’s all in this little bit of my vacations, I‘ll continuous in a seconds..Bye darlings…

touching life history...

A young man was getting ready to graduate college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted.

As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning of his graduation his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box.

Curious, but somewhat disappointed the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible. Angrily, he raised his voice at his father and said, "With all your money you give me a Bible?" and stormed out of the house, leaving the holy book.

Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business.

He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care things. When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart.

He began to search his father's important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. As he read those words, a car key dropped from an envelope taped behind the Bible.

It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words...PAID IN FULL.

Hi! these last weeks had been very relax !!!and are coming soon the vacations ,wow!!!this "semester"was very short don't you think so?well I'll tell you something about people unconscious in our country...

In general, people in my country are less conscious about the environment, most of the time when they are driving, they use to throw the garbage, also in the streets people never put it in the baskets and they omit the notices about the growing of the ozone layer, the contamination of the rivers and ground.
If we could change our minds, the world would be different, the air would be more clear, life in the rivers for the animals and plants would be more large and we could have a better city where we could live peacefully with clean streets, but it’s something hardly impossible because people don’t pay attention to the advise that in few years the water will be insufficient and nothing will be the same so you should be more conscious about it and start putting the garbage in the correct place.

Changing Maiden Names,,it's difficult

The reading is a kind of fun because umh?? , I asking myself how men can think that if you don’t want to change your maiden name means that you don’t love them. It is a ridiculous thought,don’t you think so?

In Mexico, I don’t know if these things happen but sometimes wives change their maiden names only in special occasions but not legally, for example when couple will have a wedding of any of their sons in the invitations say "Mrs. Ana Martinez de Fernandez",using the last name of the husband. It’s acceptable.

Change your maiden name???it isn’t a good idea ‘cause if you don’t conserve your identity you could feel like the woman in the reading, like if you disappear….Could be that your husband wants to control you and it sound horrible , nobody have to tell you the things that you have to do, if your husband really loves you, it doesn’t matter and you would conserve it, also you should think in the possibilities that you maybe could have in the future, if you get to divorce the problems that it causes.

Though ,one thing good is that if you don’t pay something in some store people don’t find anywhere neither in the directory, so you would be relax, je...
Take it easy ,so to avoid problems you could live in free union, as simple like that...

In fact, had you ever asked yourself about your name? You don’t think about changing it, would you like to do it? Maybe if I had the opportunity I‘d change my name Arlene to umh? Janeth or Madison… I don’t know because also I think that my name is original, I had never heard the same name only Arleth o Marlen o Arlem. People always get confused about my name.
Like in the text, when you are a child and you are in the school, if you have a funny name, kids always would be doing jokes about it, but with the pass of the time things change when you get to the youth, you could change of heart about it, and it feels better, sometimes our name have a meaning that usually we don’t know, many times people think that you are or have a personality according with your name, mostly if your name is popular.
In many cases Mexican families choose a strange or funny name for their children, mostly these situations occur in small towns where people give the names of their parent to their children like Tiburcio or Candelaria something like that...
Nowadays it’s a fashion among mothers to name their kids with famous people names, only to its sounds fashionable, So if you have a baby don’t call he/she like Catherine or Justin ‘cause is the same that “Catalina” or “Justo” , “Justino”.(jeje)So please give to your child two names,in this hand if one of this aren't nice the other could be usual.

Every country in every continent has different traditions; some of them are very weird to us because they are very different in culture.
One of these diferents traditions is the way how people are named.
Some countries just like Mexico have the tradition to name their kids with the parent’s last names also people give two names to their sons just like “Juan Jose”.
In some Asian countries people’s name are reversed for example my name be “Fajardo Arlene” starting with the last name. So you should be careful when you visit other country and avoid make a mistake, ‘cause maybe people could feel offended if you call them in an incorrect way.
Above all ask how they would like that you call them, avoid get embarrassed. So first look the customs that in other countries have, don’t get confused…

How to relax: find many ways to relax with easy steps and enjoy your life. Nowadays people live with stress for theirs jobs and don’t take a chance to relax, if they’d only do simple things like:laugh,take a nap during the day ,listen to music while having a shower with aromatic essences or simply practice a sport like yoga in theirs day off ,they could have lots of energy, these things sound impossible for most of the people that work all day but if they do an effort ,the next day they would feel better and give a smile to other people around them .don’t worry and be happy, think how easy is to live the life, in this way you can disappear your bad humor and get ready to tolerant difficult days and be relax.. so start to laugh with this:

I Icome back … and right now, I have a terrible headache ‘cause I had a long night with insomnia, yesterday when I finally decided go to bed I couldn't sleep ‘cause my neighbors had louder music also I think they had a fight ‘ cause I heard that a girl was crying,,sure things of couples...
In this moment I’m downloading music and letters of English music for practicing my fluency but guess what? The songs are fast and I can’t follow the rhythm in spite of it, I’ll try being fast like the singer…. I like sing, when I ‘m alone jeje,, ‘cause I don’t have a beautiful voice, umh!!..changing the subject ..In those days I was thinking in the things that the teacher said us, I felt bad ‘cause he had reason, we don’t do sufficient effort for learning more, so I start to do something that helps me, I know that I need learn a lot of vocabulary and many things, sometimes I had the intention but I always I keep in the middle, maybe for laziness,, however, I’m looking for a nice way to do fun things, in this hand learn wouldn’t be boring, I want to speak better so I ‘ll continuous practice until my pronunciation sounds great…I hope to get it. It could be easy; I always ask myself …what had I done this last 2 years???And the conclusion is not the enough, the things is that you have to do the things for your own good… all right,, I'm not nobody for tell you a speech is only a reflex ion and first I start with myself,fine umm!!I stop with this.. my dears, I see you next Monday… take care..

Hi!!Everybody, How were your week and the St. Valentine’s Day? For me was stressful and relax too,, relax ‘cause we didn’t have classes, well you know it!. But the others days were exhausting, you don’t think so???,, I was feeling kind of tired, for the exams and I really had thought that I ‘d have the worst grades of this period, and …no sooner said than done. I was terrible with the history class, the reason umh! I think is easy but I don’t like it so much, I know that I have to study more, but as the saying goes: every cloud has a silver lining... In this way I’ll obliged to study as many days as be possible before the next exam, so that I can pass it with a good grades and I would learn more and more…

I’m thinking in something interesting for you but I don’t find nothing, jeje this is a little difficult ‘cause write English is more difficult than Spanish and I try to put in order the words but uff!!!I have a big problem with this; I hope to improve my writing skills soon,,,, well is time to go to sleep, is late and tomorrow I have to wake up very early. Tampico: The Mexican Gulf Miracle

Tampico is a city located in the great state of Tamaulipas. It lies in the coast of the Mexican Gulf so it makes Tampico a very important city because it's a seaport for big ships. By its seaport, everyday lots of ships bring a lot of materials and products that makes Tampico a very strong economic place.

Tampico is well-known for its historical spots, in fact, the hole city has a lot of old buildings from a lot of years ago, many of them even has its date of construction on the front.

But Tampico is not only a seaport and a great city to live, it also has a lot of places to get fun. We don't have to get so deep, i just have to recall that we have a beautiful huge beach that can hold a lot of tourists and its inhabitants.

Fun doesn't end with the sunlight, the best part of the entertainment Starts when the moon shows up, almost everyday a lo of young people and anyone that likes it, gather together in the beach just to get some fun with friends and have a really good time in the beach.

Tampico is a great place to live and rise your children because is kind of a quite city, not so big but not that little. It's just the perfect model of a good city. We should be thankful for living in this great place.

I'm bored but i have to do it because my teacher ask for it,i had decided to come back more later but i prefer to do it rigth now ,the reason is that maybe i'm going to the carnival at night, also i'm download some music and i'm thinking in some ideas about the reading of the book,but i can't organize my ideas,well i understood that we can't have a good knowdlege if we learn at home like in USA why do i think this? 'cause our parents can't teach as well as a teacher in the school,also we need to interact with other people,for example for interchanging opinions or ideas although sometimes the teachers don't teach well ,we need of them for following a teaching method,in the other hand we could learn at home but we couldn't have a good developed skills.mm so this is my opinion but i don't know if i'm in the correct way,i hope the teacher understand it,,thats all ..and i say good bye classmates..

it's 10:15 am and i‘ll Start to write in this blog, yesterday I was trying to do this but before that, I saw I comment of my teacher and he said me that I have to change the colors of the background so I began to search new of this in Google ‘cause the background in the blogger web page didn’t like me, but guess what??? Neither in Google found one, I spent a long time searching for one ,some liked me but the codes of the skin didn’t upload on the blogger, so it was difficult ‘cause I don’t know much about html or css less of operative system, anyway I tried to do it, but the clock indicated 2:00 am , so I was very tired and almost sleeping, I decided go to the bed.
Well really I don’t know what write, because tell you about my life I think is something stupid, why I say it???, because it isn’t important for you and maybe you don’t read it. So I’ll tell you about some dreams that I have,one thing that I want to do in a short time is go to USA but mmh I don’t have passport neither visa and less…. Money…jaja but I promise myself that I‘ll get them soon.mmh my sister said me that I have to think this well because maybe I won’t want to come back finish my career but I don’t think that.
Sometimes I desperate ‘cause I really want to speak English very well, although the teacher says that isn’t necessary and that we can learn by ourself, I think that is difficult and is better is to be in touch with the language, fine I think that it is all for now because I have to do the next hwk of the book and I don’t know what to do.
